Emergency First Response (EFR)

Emergency First Response (EFR)

Be Ready When Someone Needs You Most

Emergencies don't wait for professionals to arrive.

Whether you're at home, at work, on vacation, or on a dive boat, knowing what to do during the first few minutes of an emergency can make all the difference.

The Emergency First Response (EFR) course gives you the confidence and practical skills to respond to medical emergencies until emergency medical services arrive. Through hands-on practice in a supportive, low-stress environment, you'll learn CPR, basic first aid, and how to assess injuries and illnesses using techniques that are easy to remember when it matters most. The course includes Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid), satisfying the current CPR/First Aid prerequisite for PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster when completed within the required timeframe.

Why Take This Course?

Medical emergencies can happen anywhere—not just underwater.

This course prepares you to respond with confidence by teaching practical skills you can use for family members, friends, coworkers, dive buddies, or even complete strangers.

At Scuba Life, we believe emergency training should build confidence, not anxiety. You'll practice each skill until it becomes familiar, giving you the ability to stay calm and provide meaningful assistance when every second counts.
